Interactive Reports

3min

A series of interactive reports have been developed to enable users to visualize, filter and export data, with a brief overview of each report provided below.

  1. Trial Status: Summarizes trial numbers by status (e.g. active, non active, or Meaurement complete). Within each group results can then be viewed according to establishment year (i.e. the year that the trial was planted) or trial series, providing a high level summary of all trials represented within the database.
  2. Trial Overviews: Includes a location map based on data provided by the client, and a comparative summary of trial data with respect to the number of genetic entities, plants and traits measured within each trial.
  3. Trial Data: Tabular and graphical summaries of the number of records measured for each trait by age, with the users able to filter data by trait groups and trial ID.
  4. Trial Statistics: Provides a detailed summary of recorded data for any selected trial by trait and date of measurement.
  5. Entity Comparison: Provides a detailed comparison of recorded trait data for selected genetic entities by age.
  6. BV and Indices: Provides a comparison of breeding values or alternate forms of performance information for selected traits and entities.

Note that additional 'custom built' reports can be created if required. If this is of interest, please contact [email protected]

Interactive report controls

There are a number of inbuilt controls embedded within the interactive reports. These controls are typically accessed by hovering over the interface and include:

  1. Inbuilt filters and erasers to control either the volume of data being displayed or to 'reset' the filters to enable selection of different criteria. Note that within the dropdown list, the CTRL key can be used to select multiple criteria.
  2. Options to display filters applied (filter icon), focus on selected items (focus mode) and a range of additional functions such as export and sort data (hover and click on the 3 dots to access these functionalities).

It is important to note that there are some limitations within the filtering processes, which may cause apparent errors in the displays. If this is an issue, please contact the Gemnetics team at [email protected] for assistance.
