data templates have been developed to assist users in streamlining their data capture processes, and reduce costs associated with data management and loading each template contains multiple tabs, including a full description of mandatory and optional data fields included within the template, and recommendations around file naming conventions each template also contains a range of ‘list options’ such as owner information and trait names these fields are pre populated based on information already included within the database, with options to add additional names or codes where required it is important to note that these templates are provided for guidance only, and there is no fixed requirement to provide data in the suggested formats a brief description of each of the new templates is shown below name description trial register information required to set up and register a new trial within the database genetics information required to load genetic (pedigree) data for specific genotypes (selections), half sib families, full sib families, and seedlots trial entry and register information required to load trial design and planting data for individual trials full trial importer information required to load trial design, planting and measurement data within a single data file data import information required to load ongoing measurement data against individual trials
