the entity comparison report enables a detailed comparison of recorded trait data for selected genetic entities by age note that this report only includes entities with recorded trait information, with steps for use of this report outlined below step 1 select the genetic entities of interest a list of genetic entities available for comparison is provided on the right hand side of the screen results are presented according to survival data for each entity, and the number of trait measurements recorded on the left hand side of the screen there are 2 options for selecting entities of interest, with help buttons to provide further instructions for use the top option enables you to copy and paste in a list of entities from a file, and these entities will automatically be included within the entities selected for comparison the bottom option enables you to search for entities by name note that this search engine is based on inclusion of the initial characters, so in the example given below, search for 'b' will result in genetic entities b001 b006 plus others appearing in the drop down list for selection and users can simply click on the required entities to add them to the list step 2 view and filter results results are displayed in tabular and graphical format tabular format the measurement summaries are then filtered according to the genetic entities chosen, with hover buttons used to display controls that can be used to help drill down into the data further in the example shown below, genetic entities b001, b002 and b003 have been selected for comparison and the chart drill down option is being used to interrogate results for tree height for each of the selected entities (by age), and then also average tree height for entity b003 across 4 different trial sites graphical format results are also presented in graphical format enabling additional filtering according to age at measurement and trait, with the example shown below showing average tree height and diamter for the selected entities at 10 years of age
